The Paragon Mali Kenken Dunun Bells from Africa Heartwood Project are professional-grade instruments hand crafted by blacksmiths in Mali. Made of recycled metal using traditional forging techniques, these bells exhibit a high tonal quality suited for use in professional Malinke dunun and djembe drum ensemble settings. The kenken are traditionally played with dunun laying transverse and bell on top, with one hand playing the bell and the other playing dunun with wood mallet.
